Naxals murder man in Chhattisgarh, suspecting him of informing
In Chhattisgarh’s Bijapur district, a 36-year-old man named Dashru Ram Oyam was brutally murdered by Naxalites who accused him of being a police informer. The incident took place late Tuesday night in Benchram village, where armed assailants dragged Oyam from his home and killed him with axes. This tragic event highlights the ongoing violence attributed to Maoist insurgents in the Bastar region, where 37 individuals have lost their lives to such attacks this year. The rise in Naxalite violence poses significant challenges to local governance and security forces, necessitating a sustained and strategic response from the Indian defense establishment to combat this insurgency and restore peace in affected areas.
