In a significant counterinsurgency operation in Manipur, security forces arrested a 24-year-old militant affiliated with the Kangleipak Communist Party (PWG) and seized a substantial cache of arms and ammunition. The operation, conducted on October 13, 2025, resulted in the confiscation of two single-barrel rifles, multiple country-made grenades and shells, a sniper rifle, and an INSAS light machine gun, among other weapons. This development underscores the ongoing challenges posed by militant activities in the region and the proactive measures taken by Indian security forces to maintain peace and security.
