Kashmiri doctor arrested in UP for pro-Jaish-e-Muhammad posters.

The Srinagar police had registered a case after multiple pro-JeM posters appeared in the city, creating tension among residents. During investigation, CCTV footage revealed Dr. Ahmed affixing these posters in various parts of Srinagar. Tracking him to Saharanpur, the police raided the hospital on Ambala Road where he worked as a medicine specialist. He was taken into custody, produced before a local court which granted transit remand to transfer him to Srinagar for further interrogation. This arrest signals intensified efforts by Indian security agencies to clamp down on terror activities and maintain peace in Jammu and Kashmir, underscoring vigilance in the healthcare sector where several Kashmiris are employed. Investigations are ongoing to ascertain any wider connections or support networks behind this act.
