Jharkhand forces seize major weapons cache after Maoist encounter.

In a significant breakthrough in anti-Naxal operations, security forces in Jharkhand engaged in a prolonged gun battle with Maoists in the Saranda forest, resulting in the recovery of a substantial cache of arms and explosives. The joint team of Jharkhand Police and the CRPF seized two Self-Loading Rifles, one .303 rifle, AK-48 ammunition, gelatin for explosives, and multiple IEDs, indicating potential preparations for a large-scale attack by the insurgents. Fortunately, there were no casualties among security personnel, and operations have been intensified to eliminate Naxal presence in the state by March 2026. This development underscores the commitment of Indian security forces to combat internal terrorism and enhance stability in the region, reflecting a proactive approach towards ensuring public safety.
