Indian Army Engages IIT Jammu on Counter-Terrorism and Health Aid
The Indian Army recently engaged with students at IIT Jammu through a session on Operation Sindoor, aimed at raising awareness about India’s comprehensive counter-terrorism strategy and the professionalism of its Armed Forces. This initiative, part of a broader national outreach campaign under the aegis of the Tiger Division, followed the tragic Pahalgam terror attack that claimed 26 civilian lives on April 22. In response, the Indian military executed precision strikes targeting terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir, demonstrating strategic clarity and commitment to national security. The session concluded with a Q&A that revealed the students’ keen interest in strategic affairs and warfare dynamics. Additionally, the Army organized a medical and veterinary camp in Doda under Operation Sadhbhavana, providing essential healthcare services to marginalized communities such as the Gujjar and Bakarwal. This outreach underscores the Army’s dedication to building positive relationships with local populations in remote areas, fostering goodwill, and serving as a source of support in challenging environments. The initiatives not only enhance community welfare but also reinforce the Army’s vital role in national security and humanitarian efforts, reflecting India’s holistic approach to addressing both security and social challenges.
