India concerned by HUJI revival and ISI links in Bangladesh
The revival of the Harkat-ul-Jihadi-Islami (HUJI) in Bangladesh poses a significant security concern for India, following the recent political shift that has allowed radical groups to re-emerge. Under the interim government led by Muhammad Yunus, which has connections to the ISI, HUJI has been actively establishing modules along the Indian border, with reports of multiple meetings between HUJI leaders and ISI officials aimed at enhancing their operational capabilities. The release of influential figures like Abdus Salam Pintu, previously convicted for terrorist activities, further exacerbates the threat. This situation underscores the necessity for India to enhance its border security measures and counter-terrorism strategies, particularly in the context of growing regional instability and the resurgence of terror networks in neighboring countries.
