Home Minister Shah demands Naxals surrender by March 2026 or face consequences.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah has firmly ruled out negotiations with Naxalites during a recent address in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, emphasizing a strict deadline of March 31, 2026, for surrender under the government’s rehabilitation policy. He asserted that the central and state governments are committed to fostering development in Naxal-affected areas, citing significant investments of over ₹4 lakh crore in Chhattisgarh. Shah urged the Naxals to abandon violence and return to the mainstream, highlighting that the real cause of underdevelopment in Bastar is Naxalism itself. This stance reinforces the government’s commitment to security and development, aiming to eradicate the Naxal threat and empower local communities, thereby fostering stability in the region.
