CRPF thwarts major Maoist attack in Chhattisgarh, destroying IEDs.
On Christmas Day, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) successfully thwarted a major Maoist attack in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh, by recovering and safely destroying two high-powered Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) during an anti-Maoist operation. The 214th Battalion’s vigilance during patrolling led to the discovery of the IEDs, weighing 20 kg and 5 kg, alongside 110 bundles of sutli bombs intended for explosive fabrication. This operation not only averted a potential tragedy but also underscores the ongoing commitment of security forces to maintain peace and stability in the region, amidst a backdrop of intensified anti-Naxal campaigns and a notable decline in Maoist activities due to increased surrenders and operational disruptions. The bravery and quick response of the CRPF personnel exemplify their dedication to safeguarding vulnerable communities.
