President Murmu highlights Constitution's role at Samvidhan Sadan celebration.

The President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, attended the Constitution Day celebration at Samvidhan Sadan in New Delhi, emphasizing the significance of the Constitution as the bedrock of Indian democracy. She highlighted that since the decision in 2015 to commemorate this day, it has fostered a national reaffirmation of respect for constitutional ideals, with a focus on social, economic, and political justice. The President acknowledged India’s progress towards becoming the world’s third-largest economy and recognized the successful implementation of new legislative measures aimed at enhancing justice. She praised the increased political participation of women and marginalized communities, reinforcing the importance of inclusivity in governance. Furthermore, she expressed confidence that the parliamentary system will continue to guide India toward fulfilling its vision of becoming a developed nation, underlining the role of the Constitution in advancing national identity and unity.
