Nadda links Article 370 abrogation to Patel's vision of unity.

Union Minister J.P. Nadda, addressing the Sardar @150 Unity March in Vadodara on November 29, 2025, linked the abrogation of Article 370 to the vision of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, calling Patel the architect of a unified India. Nadda commemorated Patel’s role in integrating 562 princely states post-Independence and contrasted it with Jawaharlal Nehru’s decision which led to Article 370, seen as an obstacle to national unity. He asserted that Patel had convinced Maharaja Hari Singh to join India, but Nehru’s approach created the hurdle of Article 370. Nadda lauded the BJP government’s move under Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah on August 5, 2020, to remove Article 370, fulfilling Patel’s unfinished mission and truly integrating Jammu and Kashmir with India. This act aligns with the ongoing national movement to honor Patel’s legacy and strengthen India’s unity and development vision. The Sardar @150 March continues to inspire patriotic unity nationwide.
