Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar has urged Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to deploy an Indian Air Force helicopter for rescue operations in flood-hit Telangana, where around 30 individuals are trapped. The Defence Minister promptly instructed officials at Hakimpet Air Force Station to assist. In addition to aerial support, the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) are mobilized for relief efforts, including drone deliveries of essential supplies to stranded individuals. The situation has been exacerbated by heavy rainfall, leading to widespread flooding and disrupted transport in affected areas, highlighting the need for a coordinated response to natural disasters.
