Video claiming Air Chief Marshal Singh admitted to losses is fake.

Multiple recent deepfake videos have misrepresented statements by Air Chief Marshal AP Singh and Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, falsely portraying them as admitting heavy losses—six jets, a Heron UAV, and 250 soldiers—during Operation Sindoor. These digitally altered clips were swiftly debunked by the Press Information Bureau, which confirmed they were AI-generated fabrications. In contrast, the actual remarks by Air Chief Marshal Singh highlighted the IAF’s success in downing five Pakistani fighter jets and an AWACS aircraft, while General Dwivedi emphasized a strong, strategically uncertain stance by India’s armed forces. These incidents underscore the growing threat of technology-driven disinformation and the importance of relying on verified sources to safeguard national security.
