Suspicious balloon with Pakistani markings discovered in Himachal village, investigation ongoing.

In Himachal Pradesh’s Una district, a suspicious balloon bearing Pakistani flag markings and “PIA” (Pakistan International Airlines) insignia was discovered on December 14, 2025, on the roof of Pappu Nambardar’s house in Chalet village, alarming locals near the Indo-Pak border region. Family members promptly alerted Daulatpur police post, where In-charge Ravipal’s team secured the airplane-shaped balloon, confirmed no attached devices, and scanned surroundings for threats amid a gathering crowd. This follows three similar balloons with Pakistani flags and “I Love Pakistan” found on December 8 in nearby Tatehra village of Gagret sub-division. Una SP Amit Yadav stated both incidents’ items are in custody, with investigations probing origins to bolster India’s border vigilance and national security.
