Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team to Perform Aerial Show in Mysuru

In a remarkable showcase of aerial prowess, the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) is set to perform on October 1 at the Bannimantap Parade Grounds in Mysuru, following the successful display by the Sarang helicopter team during the Dasara celebrations. The SKAT, known for its breathtaking manoeuvres, will be performing in their striking red-and-white Hawk Mk132 jets, promising a high-octane experience with signature stunts like loops, barrel rolls, and the captivating DNA manoeuvre. This performance marks their second appearance in Mysuru, following a memorable debut during the 2023 Dasara festivities. Meanwhile, the Sarang team, flying five indigenously built HAL Dhruv helicopters, delivered a stunning 30-minute display that featured over 16 intricate formations and received an enthusiastic response from spectators, emphasizing the IAF’s commitment to excellence and inspiring future generations to consider careers in the armed forces. These aerial displays not only serve as entertainment but also reinforce India’s growing aviation capabilities and the IAF’s role as a symbol of national pride and technological advancement, making significant contributions to both local and global recognition of India’s defense strength.
