Surya Kiran aerobatic team showcases India's military prowess in Gujarat.
On October 24, 2025, Gujarat witnessed a spectacular display of India’s military prowess as the Indian Air Force’s Surya Kiran Aerobatic Team (SKAT) staged a breathtaking air show at Mehsana Airfield. Attended by prominent figures including Gujarat Energy Minister Rushikesh Patel and MP Hari Patel, the event featured nine Hawk Mk132 jets executing daring formations and manoeuvres, such as diamond formations and inverted DNA displays, thrilling thousands of spectators. The show, organised as part of a national celebration of patriotism, highlighted India’s increasing confidence and operational capabilities under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership. Minister Patel lauded the event as a symbol of India’s growing stature on the global stage, emphasizing the nation’s focus on security, peace, and self-reliance. The participation of women pilots reflected ongoing efforts towards gender empowerment in the armed forces. With over 700 performances nationally and internationally, SKAT continues to exemplify excellence, discipline, and patriotism, reinforcing India’s image as a rising aerospace power.
