Revanth requests 98 acres of defense land for Gandhi Sarovar Project

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy has requested Defence Minister Rajnath Singh to transfer 98.20 acres of defence land in Hyderabad for the Gandhi Sarovar Project, aimed at honoring Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals and promoting national unity. The project will include a knowledge hub, meditation village, and entertainment areas, along with plans for a gateway similar to the Gateway of India. This initiative aligns with the broader Musi rejuvenation project, which also seeks to develop the Bapu Ghat area, where Gandhi’s ashes were immersed, and includes a proposal for the world’s tallest statue of Gandhi, enhancing the region’s cultural significance and tourism potential.
