Rajnath Singh Launches Cleanliness Drive, Encourages Community Involvement

On September 25, 2025, Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh spearheaded a cleanliness initiative, Ek Din, Ek Ghanta, Ek Saath, at the Army Headquarters, as part of Swachhotsav 2025 under the Swachhata Hi Seva campaign. He took the Swachhata Sankalp, recognized the contributions of Safai Mitras, and engaged in a tree-planting drive alongside 100 NCC cadets. The Raksha Mantri highlighted the importance of a clean society as essential for national security, reinforcing Prime Minister Modi’s vision of a people’s movement for cleanliness, integral to a healthy and developed India. This initiative underlines the armed forces’ role in societal upliftment, linking sanitation to broader national security goals.
