Qatar Leadership Centre's inaugural visit to India strengthens ties.

The Qatar Leadership Centre delegation made its inaugural visit to India on November 10, 2025, marking a significant milestone in India-Qatar strategic ties. Welcomed by India’s Ministry of External Affairs Secretary Arun K Chatterjee, the delegation engaged in discussions highlighting the strategic partnership established between the two nations, elevated during Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani’s state visit in February 2025. Established in 2008 by the Emir, the Centre develops leadership capabilities in Qatar’s public and private sectors. This maiden visit included interactions at premier institutions in New Delhi and Mumbai, signaling deepening bilateral cooperation in governance and administrative excellence. The visit follows intensified economic engagements, with growing trade and investment prospects also emphasized in recent meetings, reflecting Qatar’s expanding role in India’s regional security and economic landscape, underpinned by shared strategic interests and long-standing historical ties.
