NTPC to Independently Develop Nuclear Energy Projects
NTPC is set to advance into the nuclear energy sector, planning to establish projects independently and through joint ventures, as stated by CMD Gurdeep Singh. With an installed capacity of 82,926 MW, NTPC aims to enhance its non-fossil energy portfolio, emphasizing the growing significance of nuclear energy for the future. The company is collaborating with technology providers and state governments, having operationalized its joint venture, ASHVINI, with NPCIL to build and operate nuclear plants. This strategic move not only aligns with India’s clean energy goals but also reinforces NTPC’s commitment to sustainable energy solutions, positioning India favorably in the global energy landscape.
