Naval Chief Visits Lothal's Maritime Heritage Complex

Adm Dinesh K Tripathi, Chief of the Naval Staff, visited the National Maritime Heritage Complex (NMHC) in Lothal, Gujarat, on September 3, 2025, to assess its construction progress and reaffirm the Indian Navy’s connection to India’s maritime heritage. The NMHC, covering 400 acres, aims to showcase India’s seafaring legacy and features exhibits including naval aircraft and missile models. The CNS commended the teamwork among stakeholders, emphasizing the project’s significance as a living testament to India’s maritime history and its continued inspiration for the Navy’s vision in the 21st century. The Varuna Naval Complex, built for monitoring the project, symbolizes the Navy’s commitment to preserving this heritage.
