During a recent meeting chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner Sonam Nurboo, IAF officials emphasized the correlation between garbage accumulation and increased bird activity, stressing the need to eliminate open dumping sites. Additionally, the rising population of stray dogs has led to repeated runway incursions, highlighting the urgency for coordinated action among all stakeholders to enhance safety and operational protocols.
