The CBI had facilitated an INTERPOL Red Notice against him on October 26, 2024, leading to his identification and arrest by the FBI in California in June this year. Upon arrival at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport, Kumar was immediately taken into custody by Haryana Police. He faces multiple serious charges, including extortion, intimidation, illegal possession and use of firearms, and attempted murder in Haryana.
