INSV Kaundinya progresses towards Muscat, showcasing India's maritime heritage and skills.

The Western Naval Command reported that the Indian Navy’s traditional sailing vessel, INSV Kaundinya, is making steady progress towards Muscat, navigating under sail and showcasing India’s rich maritime heritage. Navy Chief Admiral Dinesh K. Tripathi interacted with the crew, commending their professionalism and the voyage’s symbolic significance in rekindling national maritime consciousness. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also extended New Year greetings to the crew, emphasizing the journey’s role in celebrating India’s historical ties with seafaring and trade across the Indian Ocean. This expedition not only serves as navigation training but also reinforces India’s cultural and commercial connections, reflecting the nation’s enduring maritime spirit.
