India's 15-Year Space Plan: 103 Satellites and Lunar Aspirations

India’s ambitious 15-year space plan, unveiled by ISRO, aims to launch 103 satellites by 2040, with multiple Chandrayaan missions, including a lunar sample return, and a goal of landing an Indian astronaut on the Moon. The roadmap emphasizes a mix of Earth observation, strategic surveillance, and a satellite-based internet constellation, supported by the development of the Lunar Module Launch Vehicle (LMLV). The private sector’s involvement is encouraged through a Public-Private Partnership model, reflecting India’s evolving space policy. With aspirations to elevate its global space market share from 1.7% to 10%, India is on a transformative path to becoming a leading space power.
