The Indian Navy will host the 8th edition of the Western Naval Command (WNC) Navy Half Marathon on November 23, 2025, as part of Navy Day celebrations, expected to attract around 20,000 participants. To facilitate smooth travel for runners, the Western Railway will operate a special local train from Virar to Churchgate, departing at 02:30 am and arriving at 04:12 am. Additionally, Central Railway will provide two special suburban services from Kalyan and Panvel to ensure accessibility for participants. The marathon will feature three race categories: 21 km Aircraft Carrier Run, 10 km Destroyer Run, and 5 km Frigate Run, promoting interaction between naval personnel and the public, and showcasing historical locations in South Mumbai.
