Indian Coast Guard to Host 10th NATPOLREX and NOSDCP Meeting in Chennai.
The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) is preparing to conduct the 10th edition of the National Level Pollution Response Exercise (NATPOLREX-X) alongside the 27th National Oil Spill Disaster Contingency Plan (NOSDCP) Meeting from October 5-6, 2025, off Chennai’s coast. This biennial exercise will involve over 100 national delegates and more than 40 foreign observers from 32 countries, highlighting India’s commitment to marine environmental protection and international cooperation. The event aims to enhance national preparedness for oil spill incidents and showcase the ICG’s operational capabilities through a variety of pollution response assets.
