The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) organized a seminar on ‘Strengthening Coastal Security through Surveillance, Technology, and Inter Agency Coordination’ from July 31 to August 1, 2023, in Visakhapatnam, aimed at assessing and enhancing the coastal security framework. The seminar brought together ICG representatives and senior officials from various agencies, including the Intelligence Bureau, Customs, and state Coastal Security Police, to identify challenges and collaborate on solutions. This initiative reflects the evolving coastal security paradigm and the increasing need for unified efforts among diverse stakeholders to safeguard India’s vast coastline, underscoring the government’s commitment to national security and inter-agency cooperation.
