Indian Army's Mentorship Helps Milli Yabi Enter Sainik School

The Indian Army has significantly impacted the education of children in the remote Sarli village of Arunachal Pradesh, with 12-year-old Milli Yabi becoming the first from her community to gain admission to Sainik School East Siang. Initiated by the Army’s 4 Corps headquarters, a mentorship program provided 33 students with a structured curriculum that included classes, mock tests, and motivational tours, fostering their aspirations. Milli’s success, emblematic of the potential within remote areas, showcases how dedicated mentorship can transform lives and inspire local youth to pursue careers in defense, igniting hope in villages often overlooked by mainstream educational initiatives. This initiative underscores the Army’s role beyond mere security, nurturing future leaders from marginalized communities.
