Indian Army launches Project Roshni to enhance Keran village infrastructure.
In a significant initiative aimed at enhancing the infrastructure of border villages, the Indian Army, in collaboration with the ASEEM Foundation and the Government of Jammu & Kashmir, launched Project Roshni in Keran. This project focuses on clean energy, clean fuel, and clean water, providing solar power to 107 households, LPG connections to 40 families, and a water filtration plant capable of producing 2,000 liters per day. The installation of solar-powered street lights along the Kishanganga River further enhances safety and promotes eco-tourism in the region. This endeavor exemplifies India’s commitment to empowering remote communities and fortifying civil-military partnerships, reflecting a broader vision of sustainable development and national integration in border areas.
