The Indian Army has inaugurated a state-of-the-art Basketball Node in Patiala as part of its Mission Olympics initiative, aimed at enhancing athletic talent within the forces. This facility features professional-grade basketball courts, strength training areas, and sports therapy zones, reflecting the Army’s commitment to international sports standards. Lt Gen Manoj Kumar Katiyar praised the project’s execution, emphasizing its role in promoting discipline, fitness, and national pride. The establishment of this training hub not only strengthens the sporting culture within the military but also elevates the physical readiness and morale of soldiers, thereby contributing to India’s overall sporting excellence and fostering a sense of unity and pride among the troops.
