Indian Army and Bharti Airtel to Boost Telecom in Arunachal

The Indian Army’s Dao Division has signed a memorandum of understanding with Bharti Airtel to enhance mobile communication infrastructure in Arunachal Pradesh’s Dibang Valley and Anjaw districts. This initiative aims to improve cellular coverage, benefiting both local communities and troops stationed in these strategically significant areas. Defence PRO Lt Col Mahendra Rawat emphasized that this partnership will not only bolster security and communication for the armed forces but will also empower local residents through enhanced access to services in education, healthcare, and governance. The collaboration aligns with India’s Digital India vision, reflecting a commitment to overcoming connectivity challenges in remote regions.
