Indian Army and 108 Ambulance rescue pregnant woman in Ladakh
In a commendable operation, the Indian Army’s 56 Gorkha Rifles, in coordination with the 108 Ambulance Service, successfully rescued a high-risk pregnancy patient from the remote Mushkoh Valley in Ladakh. The patient, Banoo from the Bakarwal community, was in critical condition but received timely assistance after a distress call. Army personnel facilitated her transfer to the ambulance, driven by Iftikhar Hussain, which then transported her to the Sub-Divisional Hospital in Drass for further treatment. This operation highlights the effective collaboration between military and civilian services, showcasing the Indian Army’s commitment to community welfare and the capacity to operate in challenging terrains.
