DPR completed for three ICPs to enhance border trade and connectivity.

The Minister of State for Home Affairs, Nityanand Rai, announced the completion of the Detailed Project Report (DPR) for three Integrated Check Posts (ICPs) at strategic locations along India’s borders with Bhutan, Bangladesh, and Nepal. These ICPs—located at Jaigaon, Changrabandha, and Panitanki—are set to enhance cross-border trade and passenger movement while bolstering connectivity within the India-Bangladesh-Bhutan-Nepal (IBBN) sub-region. This initiative is expected to stimulate economic development in border areas and strengthen ties with neighboring countries. The recent discussions between India and Bhutan further emphasized bilateral cooperation in border management, demonstrating a commitment to ensuring a safe and prosperous border region, showcasing the enduring partnership grounded in shared geography and culture.
