Army Deployed in Bahadurgarh to Address Drain Breach Crisis

A unit of 80 personnel from the 22 Mechanised Infantry of the Indian Army has been deployed in Bahadurgarh to assist in relief operations following a breach in the Mungeshpur drain caused by continuous rainfall. The Army is collaborating with the State Disaster Response Force to repair and reinforce the embankments, addressing the immediate threat of erosion and waterlogging that has affected residential and industrial areas. Deputy Commissioner Swapnil Patil emphasized the government’s commitment to ensuring the safety and support of affected citizens, while urging calm and reliance on official information. This proactive involvement underscores the Army’s vital role in crisis management and disaster response within civilian contexts.
