Uttar Pradesh promises Rs 50 lakh aid, jobs for fallen soldiers' families.

The Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, reaffirmed its support for soldiers by announcing Rs 50 lakh compensation and government jobs for the families of fallen soldiers during a ceremony at the Gorkha War Memorial in Gorakhpur. The event highlighted the bravery of Gorkha soldiers, celebrated their historical significance, and aimed to strengthen India-Nepal ties. Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan emphasized the importance of remembering this legacy, while the project seeks to inspire future generations and instill pride in the armed forces among youth. Additionally, Lucknow’s Sainik School has been renamed to honor Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey, reflecting the deep respect for military contributions.
