Two BSF personnel posthumously awarded Vir Chakra; 16 others honored.

Two Border Security Force (BSF) personnel, Sub-Inspector Mohd Imteyaj and Constable Deepak Chingakham, will be posthumously awarded the Vir Chakra for their bravery during Operation Sindoor, where they defended a critical outpost in Jammu against enemy drone attacks and shelling, while 16 others will receive gallantry medals for their courageous actions amidst intense conflict. The awards recognize the unwavering commitment and tactical excellence exhibited by the BSF personnel, who successfully repelled enemy incursions, protected their comrades, and executed precision strikes, highlighting the BSF’s vital role in safeguarding India’s borders and demonstrating exemplary courage under fire.
