The Indian government has appointed Rear Admiral Sritanu Guru as the Flag Officer Commanding of the Gujarat, Daman and Diu Naval Area (FOGNA), with headquarters at INS Sardar Patel in Porbandar. Recently promoted to Rear Admiral, Guru previously served as the Commodore (Training) at the Southern Naval Command.
