Rear Admiral Sritanu Guru appointed to lead Gujarat Naval Area.
The Indian government has appointed Rear Admiral Sritanu Guru as the Flag Officer Commanding of the Gujarat, Daman and Diu Naval Area (FOGNA), with headquarters at INS Sardar Patel in Porbandar. Recently promoted to Rear Admiral, Guru previously served as the Commodore (Training) at the Southern Naval Command. This appointment reflects India’s commitment to bolstering its naval capabilities and enhancing maritime security in the strategically significant Western Naval Command region.
