Navy officer's wife dies after altercation with TTE on train.

Aarti Yadav, the wife of a Navy officer, tragically lost her life after allegedly being pushed from a moving train by a travelling ticket examiner (TTE) named Santosh Kumar during a dispute over her ticket status. The incident occurred on November 25 when Aarti, who had a confirmed reservation on another train that was delayed, boarded the Anand Vihar Terminal Special train in a rush to reach Delhi for medical treatment. According to her family’s complaint, a quarrel broke out between Aarti and the TTE over her ticket, leading to a physical confrontation in which the TTE reportedly threw her bag from the train before pushing her out, resulting in her death. The Government Railway Police (GRP) in Etawah has registered a murder case against Santosh Kumar and has commenced an investigation, which includes reviewing passenger statements and call records. The police have recovered Aarti’s bag several kilometers from the crime scene, raising suspicions regarding the handling of evidence, as her mobile phone remains unaccounted for. The incident highlights serious concerns about passenger safety and accountability within the Indian Railways, prompting a demand for thorough investigations and stricter regulations to prevent such tragic occurrences in the future.
