Indian Navy opens new recruitment center in Karwar, boosting local enlistment.
The Indian Navy has inaugurated a new recruitment centre at INS Kadamba in Karwar, enhancing its presence on the Western Seaboard and becoming the tenth recruitment establishment across India. This initiative aligns with the ongoing efforts to bolster recruitment for the Agniveer program, with the first Stage-2 recruitment drive for the 01/2026 Agniveer batch scheduled from November 10 to 15, 2025. Local representatives from the Naval Headquarters and the Western Naval Command participated in the event, underscoring the Navy’s commitment to effective coordination with local administrations to ensure a smooth recruitment process. This development not only strengthens ties with the local populace but also provides opportunities for youth from Karnataka, Southern Maharashtra, and Goa to serve in the Indian Navy, thereby contributing to national security and pride.
