Indian Army hosts Ziro Honour Run to commemorate 1962 war heroes.

The Indian Army held the Ziro Honour Run on October 19, 2025, in Arunachal Pradesh to pay tribute to the heroes of the 1962 Indo-China War. Over 800 participants, including armed forces personnel, NCC cadets, students, and civilians, ran competitive races of 21 km, 10 km, and 5 km, showcasing patriotism and fitness. The event, flagged off by Arunachal Pradesh Governor Lt Gen (Retd) K. T. Parnaik, aimed to foster civil-military camaraderie, promote healthy living, and strengthen community ties. This run followed the conclusion of the four-day Shaurya Motorcycle Rally (October 14–17), which covered about 900 km across Arunachal’s challenging terrain, visiting war memorials and promoting social initiatives like “No Drugs, No School Dropouts.” These events preceded National Solidarity Day on October 20, reinforcing the Indian Army’s commitment to honoring past sacrifices and nurturing national unity.
