CM gives Rs 50 lakh to widow of IAF hero killed in attack
Chief Minister Pema Khandu presented an ex gratia of Rs 50 lakh to Charo Kamhua, the widow of Corporal Tage Hailyang, who was killed during a terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir. Hailyang was recognized for his bravery in guiding tourists to safety amid the attack, which claimed 26 lives. Khandu expressed deep respect for Hailyang’s courage and acknowledged the family’s immense loss. This gesture reflects the government’s support for the sacrifices made by armed forces personnel and their families, highlighting the valor and commitment of the Indian Air Force in the face of terrorism.
