CGDA's 214th SPARSH outreach in Kerala benefits 1,100 veterans with Rs 40 lakh in cheques.

The Controller of Defence Accounts (CGDA) organized the 214th SPARSH Outreach Programme in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, on October 16, 2025, inaugurated by Governor Rajendra Vishwanath Arlekar. Over 1,100 defence veterans and family pensioners attended, receiving cheques worth Rs 40 lakh for grievances resolved through SPARSH, which aims to provide pension-related services efficiently. The Governor praised the dedicated SPARSH Service Centres across 12 districts and urged the establishment of two more in Idukki and Malappuram for complete coverage. Additionally, CGDA highlighted the disbursement of over Rs 1,200 crores in One Rank One Pension arrears to more than 20 lakh beneficiaries, showcasing the government’s commitment to supporting defence personnel and ensuring their welfare. This initiative underscores the importance of addressing the needs of veterans and enhancing their quality of life.
