Army honors Brig Chandpuri by dedicating hall at Longewala War Memorial.

The Indian Army has dedicated a hall to Brigadier Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri at the Longewala War Memorial, honoring his legacy as a hero of the 1971 Battle of Longewala. Inaugurated by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, this tribute reflects the military’s commitment to recognizing the valor and sacrifices of its personnel. Brigadier Chandpuri, awarded the Mahavir Chakra for his distinguished leadership during the battle, exemplified exceptional courage as he and his men successfully repelled a significantly larger Pakistani force.
