75,000 NCC Cadets Deliver Vital Medical and Civil Aid in Operation Sindoor
Approximately 75,000 NCC Cadets have played a pivotal role in Operation Sindoor, providing critical medical support and civil assistance, as reported by Director General Lt Gen Virendra Vats during the National Cadet Corps (NCC) Republic Day Camp (RDC) 2026. The camp, which includes 2,406 cadets from across India and 200 from 20 foreign nations, aims to enhance the cadets’ exposure to the nation’s culture and traditions. Future initiatives include training one lakh cadets as “first responders” to natural disasters and developing 10,000 “cyber warriors” to strengthen India’s digital defense, reflecting the NCC’s commitment to fostering leadership and discipline among youth. The NCC, which has seen its strength grow from 20,000 at its inception to nearly 20 lakh today, aims to further increase its numbers while promoting integration across diverse regions and cultures. The activities culminate with a PM Rally on January 28, 2025, showcasing the NCC’s multifaceted development agenda that aligns with national security and disaster management strategies.
