Turkey halts C-130 flights after crash kills 20 military personnel.

Turkey has temporarily grounded its C-130 military cargo planes following a tragic crash in Georgia that resulted in the deaths of all 20 military personnel on board. These personnel were part of a unit responsible for maintenance and repair of Turkish F-16 jets, which had recently participated in Azerbaijan’s Victory Day celebrations. The Defence Ministry announced that C-130 flights would be suspended for detailed technical inspections, with only compliant aircraft allowed to resume operations. An investigation team has been dispatched to ascertain the cause of the crash, with flight data and cockpit voice recorders sent for examination in Ankara. This incident underscores the risks associated with military aviation and highlights the critical need for stringent safety measures.
