Trishakti Corps conducts AMAR training at 14,000 ft for combat readiness.

The Indian Army’s Trishakti Corps has initiated rigorous Army Martial Arts Routine (AMAR) training at altitudes exceeding 14,000 feet, aimed at enhancing close-combat readiness in challenging operational environments along the Northern Borders. This training, conducted in extreme conditions, focuses on developing soldiers’ reflexes, stamina, and situational awareness, preparing them for close-quarters combat without relying solely on conventional weapons. Additionally, the Army has achieved a significant milestone in self-reliance by indigenizing 55 out of 57 Special Clothing and Mountaineering Equipment items for high-altitude operations, thereby reducing import dependence. These advancements underscore the Indian Army’s commitment to operational capability and the broader goal of achieving Atmanirbharta by 2047.
