Southern Command to conduct joint Trishul exercise with Navy, Air Force.

The Southern Command of the Indian Army is preparing to conduct a joint training exercise, Trishul, with the Navy and Air Force, emphasizing offensive maneuvers in various terrains, including the creek and desert sectors, as well as amphibious operations off the Saurashtra coast. This exercise will integrate multi-domain operational capabilities, focusing on Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR), Electronic Warfare (EW), and Cyber capabilities. Under the leadership of Lieutenant General Dhiraj Seth, the Southern Command aims to embody Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s directive of JAI—Jointness, Atmanirbharta, and Innovation—highlighting the importance of operational synergy and self-reliance in India’s defense strategy. This initiative underscores India’s commitment to enhancing military preparedness and collaborative operational effectiveness among its armed forces.
