Operation Sindoor: A Strategic Triumph Over Pakistan's Nuclear Threat

Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan, speaking at the 128th Foundation Day celebrations of Scindia School in Gwalior, highlighted Operation Sindoor as a strategic triumph that dismantled Pakistan’s nuclear blackmail and established a new paradigm in warfare. He underscored that the operation, carried out in May, involved precision air strikes targeting terrorist hubs in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, proving Pakistan’s assumptions about its nuclear deterrent wrong. General Chauhan emphasized that war is fought by the entire nation, not just the armed forces, with political leaders, diplomats, and soldiers playing their roles. He stated that Operation Sindoor created a new matrix of decision and timing in warfare and firmly established that terrorism and dialogue cannot coexist. Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia praised the operation for its courage and the critical role of technology and teamwork in protecting civilians. General Chauhan also called for a collective national effort towards a stronger India by 2047, echoing Prime Minister Modi’s vision and reinforcing India’s commitment to national security and regional stability.
