Northern Army Commander reviews operational readiness at LAC in Ladakh.
Northern Army Commander Lieutenant General Pratik Sharma visited forward areas along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) in Eastern Ladakh to review operational and defense preparedness amid the ongoing tensions with China. His visit included witnessing ‘Exercise AstraShakti’, a significant military exercise validating the Indian Army’s long-range precision artillery, swarm drones, and counter-drone capabilities, underscoring the seamless integration of forces, including the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP). The exercise was described as a demonstration of the Northern Command’s readiness, innovation, and indomitable spirit, showcasing advanced military tactics in one of the most challenging terrains globally. Lt Gen Sharma commended the troops for their unwavering commitment and high state of readiness, emphasizing the importance of morale in maintaining operational effectiveness.
