Modern surveillance technology effectively thwarts infiltration attempts in J&K, says IG BSF.

Modern surveillance technology has significantly reduced terrorist infiltration attempts from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir into the Kashmir Valley, according to IG BSF Frontier (Kashmir), Ashok Yadav. The officer emphasized that heightened alertness and advanced surveillance gadgets have played a crucial role in thwarting these attempts, with 100 to 120 terrorists reportedly stationed at launch pads across the Line of Control. Despite the ongoing threat, the BSF and Army’s operational strategies, enhanced by real-time intelligence assessments, ensure robust area dominance. This proactive stance not only fortifies national security but also addresses evolving threats, such as potential collaborations between terrorist outfits, highlighting the importance of adaptive countermeasures in safeguarding India’s borders.
